Here’s what you need (feel free to customize)

For the Rice

Rice

Ginger

Curry

Paprika

Oregano

Tumeric

For the Kabobs

Sweet Potato

Yellow Squash (or any other kind you prefer)

Peppers (Red, Green, Orange, Yellow, Whatever you like!)

Lean Steak (I marinated the steak with some soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and ginger)

Directions

Cube your steak and marinate with the suggested spices. Let it marinate for 30 or more minutes. Wash off your vegetables. You can peel the skin off the sweet potato if you wish. Cut the vegetables into large chunks. When your steak is done marinating, skewer the steak and vegetables.

Place on a grill set to medium/medium high heat. Let it cook until brown on one side and then turn over. Repeat the turning if needed until the meat is cooked to your preference. *Please do not eat raw meat*

While the skewers are cooking it up on the grill making your neighbors jealous start cooking the rice. Cook rice as directed on the package. (Usually 2 part water to 1 part rice ratio) Add a couple pinches of the spices above. Usually a couple shakes or pinches does it. Let the rice cook as directed and take off the heat when it is finished.

When the rice and skewers are done, gather everyone around and add some rice to your plate and a skewer of deliciousness. Be careful if you used metal skewers as they will be HOT!
